Juhu and Chowpatty – Most Visited Beaches of Mumbai


There are many beaches in Mumbai, which are named as Dadar Chowpatty, Chowpatty (Girgaum), Juhu Beach, Madh Island, Versova Beach, Manori Beach, Aksa Beach, Gorai Beach and Marve Beach. Juhu and Chowpatty are two most visited beaches of Mumbai. They are always crowded, mostly by the locals. These beaches will offer you to enjoy the beautiful Sunset. The Juhu and Chowpatty beach are quieter and cleaner where most of the travelers and locales love taking a quiet walk and share some time with friends or family.

While traveling in Mumbai, people with interest in being at and loving the beaches with sandy soil must go to the beaches of Juhu and Chowpatty. These are Mumbai’s best known beaches. The Chowpatty beach situated in Girgaum is considered most popular for being one of the places that are immensely known Ganapati Visarjan which is the time when Lord Ganesha’s idols are immersed in the ocean. This beach is the most crowded one. Evenings at this site are moderately small fairs with great number of local families and tourists on their Mumbai travel. The evenings here are the perfect time for taking a walk with friends and family. Chowpatty beach is also the perfect place for trying out some of the fabulous street foods of the city, like Bhel Puri, vada pav, etc.

Juhu Beach:

Juhu beach isn’t considered quite entertaining for the swimming experience, but kids would enjoy playing volleyball, basketball, cricket, etc. This beach is considered among the most-visited Indian beaches and is located in the 'Ville Parle'. This beach is situated approximately 18 kilometer from Mumbai center and is the most desired beach location for most of the Bollywood shootings. This beach borders a high-class locality where many of the celebrities stay and that’s why, it’s very common to see well-known celebrities jogging at this famous beach. Tourists on their Mumbai voyage visit this beach for of its scenic beauty and its peaceful atmosphere. Juhu Beach is known for its street food and local delicacies too. The food stalls here offer superb snack items and cuisines. People visit here to relax and have fun after a long, tiresome day. There are overgenerous apartments and hotels situated at southern end of this beach. Seeing the sunset at this delightful place, defended by the enormous Arabian Sea, is for sure a dream-like visualization for anyone visiting the beach.

The perfect time to visit the Juhu Beach is between October and February. It would be best to avoid coming to the beach in the monsoon season because high tides can be expected in this season.
